Every company has its year-end party to commemorate the year that was, honor individuals for their exemplary performance and to unwind after a year of stress. Thomson Reuters Manila’s year-end party theme this year was A Yuletide Fashion Ball, held at the PICC reception Hall, Pasay City last December 1 with about 2,000 plus employees.
The event was hosted by Rovilson Fernandez, host of GMANewsTV’s Ang Pinaka together with Joey Mead-King, MTV VJ, ramp model and currently serving as a mentor-judge in Asia’ Next Top Model.
Since it is a fashionista event, the employees were required to have their own statement for the night. A search for the Most Unique, Creative and Fashionista Male and Female was held. Additionally, 4 departments competed for the Group Performance where every team incorporated fashion on their performances.
The best part of year-end parties is the raffle draw. The management gave away 3 14” MacBook Air as grand prizes with other prizes such as iPad 3, iPod touch, 32” LCD tv, home theaters, Canon cameras, Samsung Mini Laptops, PS3’s, overnight accommodation in Makati Shangrila Hotel and buffet for 2 at The Circles. Unfortunately, no one on tour team won the raffle but we enjoyed grooving on the dance floor.
