Palawan is the topmost cashew producing province and the country’s cashew capital. To commercialize the fruit-product, a restaurant in Puerto Princesa City named Isla Casoy de Palawan converts cashew into different products.

Isla Casoy de Palawan is located in Mercado de San Miguel along Puerto Princesa North Road. The restaurant offers different cashew products such as cashew coffee, frappes, cashew butter to nuts, cakes, tarts, cookies, and prunes.

We tried their own version of Mocha Cashew Frappe that seems to be like the ordinary mocha frappe but with the cashew flavor aftertaste. They also offer a 15% discount on their cake of the day which we didn’t try since we just had our dinner at Badjao Restaurant.

For pasalubongs, you can also check their pasalubong shelf where different flavors of cashew nuts such as roasted, honey glazed, spicy and garlic were displayed. Packages at different sizes of cashew cookies, tarts and prunes were also available. If you want to have a better present for your family and friends, they also have a box of assorted cashew products at 250 pesos.

The best product so far is their version of peanut butter which is the cashew butter. It’s heaven!
