Honestly, I didn’t expect Urdaneta City to keep up with the coffee shop game. Over several visits, I discovered these coffee shops in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan that can quietly compete with known cities. Signature drinks impress, pastries go beyond filler, and interiors make you want to snap photos for your feed. Here’s my take on the spots I’ve tried so far.

Cup of Arc
Cup of Arc has a colorful, energetic vibe that immediately makes you want to stay. The layout is long and layered, with a playful foyer, middle tables, and a bleacher-style lounging area at the back. Seating at the rear can feel limited when crowded, but the space feels cozy overall.

The coffee menu is extensive. Classics, oat lattes, artisan blends, pumpkin spice, and the Espresso Sea Salt Cream Oat series all shine. Non-coffee drinkers also have options like Choco Oat, premium matcha, Sea Salt Signatures, and Yakult drinks.

The barista recommended the Toffee Butterscotch from the Espresso Sea Salt Cream Oat series. It tastes similar to a popular Caramel Macchiato but hits differently. The espresso provides a bitter kick, the toffee adds nuttiness, and the butterscotch finishes buttery smooth. It’s a sip that makes you pause.

Desserts deserve special mention. I tried the Bibingka baked in banana leaves. Unlike usual rice-flour bibingka, this feels like a buttery cake—moist and comforting. Other treats include the Ube Coconut Revel Bar with Pistachio (Php180), Brownie Tiramisu (Php255), Cream Cheese Leche Flan (Php150), Cold Choco Waffle (Php180), and cream cheese bars in Pistachio Banana, Walnut, and Oreo flavors. Pair these with coffee for a satisfying snack session.
Cafe Amadito
Cafe Amadito surprised me. During a city-wide power outage, I assumed it would be closed. Being inside the Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital compound, it runs on a generator. Coffee plus air-conditioning? Check. It’s perfect when the city’s lights go out.

The coffee menu is huge. Hot drinks range from Americano (Php95) to Mocha (Php140), with flavored lattes like Caramel Macchiato, Spanish Latte, Vanilla Latte, and White Chocolate Mocha. Iced options include Coconut, Seasalt, Tiramisu, and Brown Sugar. You can customize with extra espresso (Php40), oat milk (Php50), salted cream (Php30), or flavored syrup (Php25). Non-coffee drinks include hot chocolate, matcha latte, ube latte, honey lemon tea, iced fizz, and slushies priced Php100–130.

Food options are simple but satisfying. All-day breakfast, sandwiches, pasta, and pastries cost Php100–140. I tried a croissant baked in-house—flaky, buttery, and perfect with coffee. The star is the Amadito, their signature drink. Espresso, milk, and a hint of cinnamon top with lightly dusted foam. The milk felt plain at first, and the cinnamon was subtle, but it’s still a unique house-special worth trying.
El Cazo
El Cazo focuses on comfort food and approachable coffee. Their Three Star Latte, a blend of hazelnut, vanilla, and caramel, tastes like a Caramel Macchiato without overwhelming sweetness. It’s perfect for cozy coffee moments.

The food menu impressed me. I tried the Truffle Mushroom Pasta—creamy sauce, generous parmesan, perfectly cooked pasta, and earthy mushrooms. El Cazo balances flavor and comfort, offering both a gourmet touch and homely vibe.
Blyss Cafe
Blyss Cafe has two floors, both designed with tropical and earthy aesthetics. Wooden fixtures, plants, and warm tones create a nature-inspired backdrop perfect for photos.

The Truffle Pasta is creamy without overpowering the taste. Mushrooms add crunch, noodles are al dente, and buttered toast complements the dish. For casual bites, the Chicken Poppers (Salted Egg) impressed. Crispy, flavorful chicken with salted egg sauce served alongside buttered corn or fries hits comfort food perfectly.

Coffee highlights include the Cinnamon Cloud Oat. Cold foam, espresso, and cinnamon mix harmoniously for a unique latte twist. It’s both photogenic and delicious—a definite Instagram-worthy choice.
