Tired of eating Japanese gastronomy on fast foods and craving for authentic taste of Japan’s exquisite cuisines nearby?
s in Kamagong St., Makati is serving its specialties such as teppanyaki, soups, and veggies for people craving for Japanese food. The place started 1981 with their famous sushi.
The place is so homey with the interior not that large having only about 10 tables that can accommodate about 40-50 people, with their Japanese inspired chairs and the photos of their best sellers on the wall.
The food being offered in Suzu Kin are categorized into furai/katsu, tempura, teriyaki, noodles, donburi, maki sushi, sashimi and the Suzu Kin specialties. They also have veggies, drinks, and desserts.
I tried the All-Day-Everyday Meal with chicken furai, ebi tempura, fried dilis, pork kushi yaki, tai kimiyaki, tuna steak, rise and miso soup. I love the tuna steak due to its tenderness and with the taste really melts in your mouth. The tempura and the chicken purai were great to go along with the sauce. The dilis was simply the fried dilis with brown sugar being sold in supermarkets. The pork kushiyaki was fine with the not-so-sweet sauce.
It was the first time I survived eating a complete set meal just using chopsticks.
For the dessert, I ordered the Coffee Jelly which I found out upon serving that the top part was actually cookies and cream ice cream with the coffee jelly below.
At present, they only have 2 branches, the one in Makati City and the other in EDSA NIA. Their business hours start at 10:30 AM to 2 PM and resumes at 5:30 PM to 9 PM, from Mondays to Saturdays. They also deliver to cater people who can’t drop at their stores.
