The place is located in Barangay Sikat found along Abueg Road. Kuya Arthur gave us his calling card so every time we want to r around the city, we will just drop him a message. We hired him just to drop us in Badjao but said that he’ll just wait for us until we leave. We paid him 200 pesos for that.
It’s about 7 pm when we got there. It’s getting dark and the sun was almost set. From the entrance, you need to pass on a wooden walkway passing through some mangrove trees. Friends said that the restaurant is a floating resto. But when I tried to investigate, the place has supports on the corners. Sorry guys!
From the dining area, we were lucky to witness a beautiful sunset and landscape. So upon getting a table, we eagerly asked for the menu and choose something to order. We ordered a seafood platter having a crab dish (I forgot the name), a sizzling squid, grilled fish, ensaladang talong (eggplant salad), garlic rice, fruits and their soup of the day which was “molo”.
We also tried their cocktails courtesy of Ate Mei; Pink Margarita, Seafront Beauty and Badjao Sunset which set us a bit dizzy going back to the town proper.
For me, the food was not that remarkable compared to Kinabuchs Grill and Bar maybe I expected more from them based on what I’ve heard from friends.
An instrumental song is accompanied by a keyboard was playing in the background while we eat. We believed that it was recorded but we’re surprise to found out that it was live!
